Trump administration to expand loan program to small businesses

Small business loans are one of the fastest growing sources of federal revenue for the government, and the Trump administration is expected to expand a program that helps small businesses get loans from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The Trump administration said Tuesday that it is expanding the program to loan programs and entities that provide loans to small business owners.
The program is named for the Trump-era policy of encouraging the construction of businesses to hire local workers and invest in their local economy.
It’s part of a broader effort by the Trump White House to revive the economy and help the unemployed and low-income Americans.
It’s a program the Trump campaign was criticized for not expanding to small enterprises as it did with the unemployment insurance program, and it’s not clear how much of a jump the Trump team expects the program will get under the new administration.
But the Trump transition team did not respond to a request for comment.

Trump said the new program would help small businesses to “create new jobs and keep our communities strong.”
“I know that this is not just a good thing for America,” Trump said.
“It’s great for businesses, and I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a small business owner.
And that’s why I’m doing this.”
The program, called the Small Business Lending Act, was designed to help the poorest Americans afford home mortgages and help them get credit for businesses.
It helps small business and homeowners get financing through their mortgage companies, rather than their credit unions.
The White House said the program would provide $25 billion in loan guarantees for small businesses and $25 million for home loans.
But it didn’t say how many borrowers would qualify.
The president also said the loans would be used for small business investment.
“The Lending for Small Business Act will create jobs, spur economic growth and help millions of Americans get ahead, create more affordable housing and support millions of American workers who are struggling,” Trump wrote in a press release.
The new program will help small business to expand their operations and help create jobs by allowing them to borrow at a lower rate and invest more money in their business.””
This is a win-win for the American worker and for our economy.

This will help their businesses hire and grow, and help keep their communities strong, too,” he said.
